Cookie notice
This notice explains how the website matobur.com uses cookies. In short: we use Google Analytics 4 only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, and the Matobur app itself contains no analytics or tracking at all.
What we use and why
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to see aggregate statistics about this website: which pages and guides are read, which countries visitors come from, which devices and browsers they use, and how many visitors click the App Store badges. These numbers help us decide which guides to write and improve next. We don’t use them to identify you.
What Google Analytics collects
- the pages you visit and how long they are open;
- the page that brought you here (the referrer);
- your approximate location (country and city), derived from your IP address — GA4 does not log or store IP addresses;
- your device type, operating system, browser, screen size and language;
- clicks on the App Store badges.
We never send your name, your email address or anything you type to Google Analytics.
How long the data is kept
Google Analytics keeps the statistics linked to the cookie ID for 14 months and then deletes them automatically. The cookies themselves expire after 2 years at the latest, or earlier when you delete them or withdraw your consent.
No advertising
We don’t use Google Analytics for advertising. Google signals, remarketing and ad personalization are switched off, and we don’t link Google Analytics to any advertising account.
Who receives the data
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Dublin, Ireland) and Google LLC (Mountain View, USA), which process the data on our behalf. The data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area and Türkiye, including the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards Google provides, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Legal basis
We use Google Analytics only with your consent: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR together with the ePrivacy rules on cookies and, for visitors in Türkiye, explicit consent under Article 5(1) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). You can use the whole website without consenting.
Change your mind at any time
Open Cookie settings (at the bottom of every page, or with the button below) and choose Reject. This takes effect immediately: Google Analytics stops and its cookies are deleted from this site. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; we will then ask again on your next visit.
The Matobur app
The Matobur app for children contains no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. This notice covers only the website matobur.com; the app is described in our Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your personal data and for a copy of it, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and complain to a data protection authority. Google Analytics data is pseudonymous: without the cookie ID from your browser, we usually cannot tell which data is yours. Write to us at the address below; we answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest.
